Spring Lake Christian Reformed Church and Ferrysburg Community
Church are excited to work together of offer GEMS to girls on the north side of the
bridge! We began our season on Monday, September 19 with a kick-off at
Ferrysburg. We included all eight of our returning girls in the new club and had a
total of 54 girls join in the fun! The theme this year is "Wisdom: Go For the Gold."
We will learn about how God's wisdom in his Word gives us the tools we need in
this life. It is worth more than gold! Both Becki Sweetman and Kim Sytsma are
helping as counselors. Becki will be working with the second graders and Kim will
have the seventh graders. Our plans this year include a mother/daughter event, a
dad/daughter event, a sleepover, a Christmas party, here at spring Lake CRC,
GEMS Sunday and dinner in February, and many regular lesson nights! Watch
also for a butter braid sale and a sub sale to help us raise needed funds. Thanks
