Those of you astute at your BIBLICAL HISTORY will no doubt recognize the
reason this group is called "Berea." If you are wondering, look up Acts 17:10ff.
We desire to be "more noble" (see aforesaid passage) than the "Jews of
Thessalonica" but doing BIBLE study and memorization of it as well.
Those of you post-high, singles or couples, who desire to have great
fellowship with other believers, but at the same time grow deeper in your faith, we
invite you to join us on Sunday evenings after the evening worship service.
I remember so fondly now the various BIBLE studies on Sunday evenings
that my parents had been involved in (at the time, I just wanted them to be HOME
because I was afraid when they would leave us with a sitter-Iol- but GOD provided
for me even back then), and this is a great opportunity to keep the faith growing
from one generation to the next!
We began our season with a poignant DVD from the Louie Giglio Passion
series, "Fruitcake and Ice Cream," a truly "must see" for everyone in the
congregatioin. We will do the follow-up DVD next, and then begin the Chip Ingram
series on "Why I Believe," in which Chip gives us sound reasons to believe that
GOD IS, Life after Death, and other related topics. We will then be able to take this
knowledge to our unsaved friends, being equipped to "be ready to give an
answer" for why we believe in GOD, THE AUTHOR AND PERFECTOR OF OUR
FAITH.
