Lydia

Lydia Bible Class
Lydia meets the first and third Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. This season they are
studying "New Testament Characters." Most of us see ourselves as little people,
minor characters. But that does not make us unimportant because we matter to
God. The New Testament is full of little or ordinary people: Thomas, one of
Christ's lesser disciples whose questions and doubts led him to faith, Philemon,
who had to decide what to do with a dishonest slave who ran away and then got
religion; Priscilla and Aquila, who opened their home to traveling missionaries
and eventually to a whole church; a nameless prison guard in Philippi who gave
the apostle Paul a beating and then said yes to God, both on the same night.
These are just some of the ten people that Lydia will be looking at. Pastor Jim
Vander Meiden is leading the Bible study hour.
