Sunday School
We currently have nine children attending Sunday School, K_5th grade.
Each week the children hear a Bible Story presented by various members of the
congregation, after which they stay in the large group or break into two groups, K-
2nd and 3rd_5th grades. These groups are led by Willie Burns and Ryan Van Dyke.
We began the year with a couple of stories about Elisha. Between now and
Christmas the children will hear stories about the fall of God's people and how
God calls them back, fulfilling his promise of a Messiah from the line of David. On
that journey they will hear stories about Daniel and Esther and finally the return
from exile to rebuild the city of Jerusalem, being encouraged by the prophets with
the message of the promised Messiah.
Each quarter is divided into three units. There is a take home Family
Magazine at the beginning of each new unit with activities for the families to do
based upon the lesson each week. The Faith Nuture Team appreciates and is
thankful to all those who have volunteered their time and talents for the Sunday
School Program.
